Regular members of Cosmetologists Chicago® (CC), Cosmetólogos Latinos® (CL), American Association for Esthetics® (AAE) and International Nail Technicians Association® (INTA) can apply for up to $2,500 a year ($7,500 lifetime maximum) for advanced classes and seminars.
You might study in London and Paris, take Master Classes at America’s Beauty Show, national academies or local schools. The Presidents Scholarship awards $25,000 annually to members!

1. The Presidents Scholarship is open to any Cosmetologists Chicago® (CC), Cosmetólogos Latinos® (CL), American Association for Esthetics® (AAE) and International Nail Technicians Association® (INTA) regular member, or spouse, child, or grandchild of a member, pursuing cosmetology related education (e.g. cosmetology school or industry related programs.) The member must be in good standing for at least one year prior to application. Funds from the Presidents Scholarship are applicable to tuition or actual registration fees when the education falls under the scope of cosmetology, nail technology or esthetics defined by the state in which the applicant resides. Funds awarded may not be used for airline or hotel accommodation.
2. Applicants are eligible to apply each year. A maximum of $2,500 per calendar year will be awarded to scholarship recipients. A lifetime maximum of $7,000 will be granted to any one applicant. This rule is retroactive to 1996
3. Scholarship will be awarded contingent upon proof of academic performance. When applicable, one payment will be applied each term.
4. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need, academic record, association involvement and quality of application. The associations offer numerous opportunities for applicants to volunteer. All recipients are strongly encouraged to be actively involved in supporting the associations as it will positively impact selection choices. A volunteer form may be downloaded here
5. Failure to maintain a good academic standing or to complete attendance for a course will result in forfeiture of the award. In the event of a forfeiture, the balance of the award may be given to the next qualified individual.
6. All personal statements, resumes and letters of recommendation must by typed.
7. Applicants must provide a list of local newspapers and addresses for public relations use.
8. Applications must be received for consideration by December 1. No exceptions.
9. Funds must be utilized solely for the educational opportunity sought and described on this application. Any change must be brought to the attention of the Scholarship Committee for further review before any funds will be released. It is the responsibility of each Presidents Scholarship recipient to notify the Committee when such changes occur.
10. Winners must attend at least one association event to present their experience with the Presidents Scholarship. If selected for an award, applicants will be required to submit to Cosmetologists Chicago written testimonials or personal statements about how the scholarship funds are used. The statements may be used for marketing and promotional materials.

RESUME: Please upload a current resume. Be sure that it includes employers for the past five years - beginning with your present or most recent employer. List position/duties, salary and the dates you were employed. It must also include all the schools you have attended. List location, years attended, date graduated and field of study. You may attach a word document or pdf file.
PROGRAM INFORMATION If you are interested in attending several programs, please rank them in order of preference with #1 being the most important, #2 being less important, etc. Provide complete descriptions for each program. If you do not include program info, your application may not be considered.
PERSONAL STATEMENT: In 300 words or less, please explain your reasons for applying for this scholarship and why you believe it should be awarded to you. In addition, please describe your career goals for the first five years after completion of this program.
PHOTO RELEASE: Cosmetologists Chicago uses scholarship recipient's photos for public relations purposes. Clicking the box below authorizes CC to use your photo.
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Three letters of recommendation are required. One letter must come from an industry professional and two additional letters should be provided by persons in positions to assess academic and creative potential. All letters should state relationship to applicant. All letters must be typed.
ASSOCIATION INVOLVEMENT: All scholarship recipients are required to volunteer for association functions as part of the terms of their scholarship. Please indicate your interest.
